Google runs the tester program, so your Google account is the whole sign-up — each step is one tap if you’re signed in. Use the same account your phone’s Play Store uses.
- Join the tester groupThis puts you on the official tester list — Google recognises you the moment you join. One tap on “Join group”, then come back here.
- Turn on testing for your accountGoogle shows one button — “Become a tester”. Tap it and you’re enrolled.
- Install BeFree from Google PlayThe store listing is visible to testers only. If Play says the app isn’t found, give it a few minutes — Google can take a moment to register new testers — and check you’re signed into the same account.
Installing is free. Your BeFree account starts with seven days of Pro from signup, with no card or automatic charge. The promised tester year is added manually after we match your Google tester enrollment to your signed-in BeFree account; joining the group alone does not activate it. If you used different emails or the year has not appeared, contactsupport@heybefree.app with the email for each account. You can leave testing any time. Once you’re in, say hello in the group too.
