Deleting Your BeFree Data

You own your BeFree data. This page describes how to delete it.

Delete Your Account from Inside the App

1. Open BeFree.
2. Tap the You tab.
3. Tap Account.
4. Tap Data.
5. Tap Delete Account.
6. Confirm.

When you confirm, BeFree:

• Removes your account and all of your content from production systems within 30 days.
• Cancels your active subscription, if any (note: you may need to cancel separately in the App Store to stop future renewals).
• Revokes any device sessions.

Some provider logs or short-window backups may persist briefly for security, fraud prevention, or operational reasons. Those copies are isolated from the live product and are purged on each provider's normal retention cycle.

Delete a Single Item

You can delete any task, event, reminder, grocery item, list, note, project, or tag from inside the app. Each entity has a "Drop" or trash action. Items go to a soft-delete state for a short window (so you can undo) and are then permanently removed.

Export Before You Delete

If you want a copy of your data first, BeFree supports a JSON / iCal export from the Account → Data tab.

Email Us If You Need Help

If you cannot access the app, email support@heybefree.app from the address associated with your BeFree account, with the subject line "Delete my BeFree account." We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

What We Cannot Delete

We cannot delete:

• Records we are required to keep for tax, accounting, or legal compliance.
• Anonymized analytics aggregates that no longer identify you (when applicable).

We can delete everything else.
