These terms govern your use of BeFree (the "Service") provided by Vishal Rana ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.
BeFree captures your voice or text input and uses AI to organise it into tasks, events, reminders, grocery items, and similar productivity artefacts. It syncs across your devices and integrates with Apple Calendar and Reminders when you grant permission.
"BeFree" means all of it, under one account: the iPhone app, the Mac app, the web app at app.heybefree.app, and any pre-release builds we offer for testing (currently Android, distributed through Google Play's testing programme). Pre-release builds are provided as-is and may be incomplete or withdrawn at any time.
You can use BeFree with an Apple ID, a Google account, or an email address. Older versions also allowed anonymous use without signing in. You're responsible for keeping the device and sign-in method you use secure. If you lose access to your sign-in method, anonymous data tied to that device may not be recoverable.

BeFree is free to install and use. A "Pro" tier unlocks a higher AI usage allowance and is sold as an in-app subscription through Apple's App Store, billed in your local currency; pricing is shown before purchase. One subscription covers your account everywhere you use BeFree — iPhone, Mac, and the web — and a single purchase covers both the iPhone and Mac apps. Subscriptions auto-renew through your Apple Account until you cancel, which you can do at any time in your Apple Account's subscription settings on iPhone (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Mac (App Store → your account → Account Settings). Refunds are handled by Apple under their App Store policy. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer protection laws that apply to you.
BeFree uses large language models to interpret what you say. The models are good but not perfect. Always review what BeFree filed before relying on it. We are not liable for actions you take or fail to take based on AI-generated suggestions or schedules.
You own everything you put into BeFree. We hold a limited licence to store, process, and display it back to you so the App can work. We never use your content to train our own models, and we don't share it with anyone outside the sub-processors named in the Privacy Policy — its AI-processing section describes how each AI provider handles model training.
BeFree is provided "as is". We don't guarantee uptime or absence of bugs. We may change, pause, or end the service with reasonable notice. If we end the service, we'll give you at least 30 days to export your data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to BeFree is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or AUD 50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as missed appointments, lost productivity, or data loss caused by third-party providers.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes that cannot be resolved by discussion will be heard by the courts of that jurisdiction.
If we materially change these terms, we'll update the date above and notify you in the App.
